Franco Escobar

Escobar joined the Dynamo ahead of the 2023 campaign and quickly made an impact, helping the team lift the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title and reach the 2023 Western Conference Final after scoring Houston’s lone goal versus Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference Semifinal. The Argentinean defender also helped Houston qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs in consecutive years for the first time in a decade, while the team set club records for points (54) and road wins (8) last season.

Escobar has won five titles in MLS since he joined the league in 2018, including two MLS Cups (2018 and 2022), two U.S. Open Cups (2019 and 2023), the inaugural Campeones Cup in 2019 and the 2022 Supporters Shield.

Latest transaction: Signed through 2024 plus a club option for 2025.
