Rudy Camacho

CF Montréal announced in the beginning of the year the signing of French defender Rudy Camacho to a new two-year deal for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

The 2021 Defensive Player of the Year will play a fifth season with the Club. In 2021, Camacho started all 31 matches he featured in, and played 2,746 minutes. In doing so, the 30-year-old led all Montreal defenders in games started.

On November 3, 2021, the central defender scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Houston Dynamo FC, thus tying a Club record for goals scored by a defender in a single season with three goals.

In four seasons with Montreal, he earned 79 starts in 80 games played for a total of 6,965 minutes of game time.
