Ibrahim Aliyu

Aliyu joined the Dynamo in April 2023 after a three-year stint with Lokomotiva in the Croatian first division. In his debut season, the Kano, Nigeria native played an important role in Houston’s triumph towards the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title, and helped the team advance to the Western Conference Final, defeating Real Salt Lake in the first round and Sporting Kansas City in the second round of playoff action. In 2024, Aliyu helped the Dynamo qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since 2013, while the team set club records for points (54) and road wins (8). Additionally, the forward was co-recipient of the Club’s Golden Boot Award after scoring six goals across all competitions last season.

Latest transaction: Signed on a full transfer from NK Lokomotiva Zegreb in Croatia through the 2025 season with a club option for 2026 and 2027.
