PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Columbus (2023): Jacen Russell-Rowe made 21 appearances (4 starts) for the Crew, scoring four goals and tallying three assists. Russell-Rowe made his MLS Playoffs debut against Atlanta United in the opening round, coming off the bench in Game Two. He made his season debut in the first match against Philadelphia (February 25) coming off the bench. He would make his first start against Atlanta United (March 25) and score his first MLS goal on top of an assist on the way to a 6-1 win. Russell-Rowe was selected to Canada’s final 23-man roster for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup, where he made his senior national team debut, entering in the second half of a 4-2 win over Cuba on July 4. He appeared in two additional games during the tournament. During the Hell Is Real Derby, Russell-Rowe would score the third and final goal of the match to give Columbus the edge over FC Cincinnati (August 20). He would score in the following match to beat his hometown team Toronto FC (August 26). The forward was called up to the Canadian National Team in November for a pair of Concacaf Nations League matches against Jamaica. In the Crew’s postseason run, Russell-Rowe made two appearances and won his first MLS Cup of his career with the Crew in 2023.

Columbus Crew 2 (2022): After one year of college, Russell-Rowe signed with the Crew 2 for the inaugural season of MLS Next Pro. He would go on to appear in 19 matches for the Capybaras, scoring a league-leading 21 goals. He was named Next Pro Player of the Month for both May and June 2022. After winning the MLS Next Pro Cup, he was named MLS Next Pro MVP and won the 2022 MLS Next Pro Golden Boot. Russell-Rowe was called up to the first team in June and recorded two assists in a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC (June 29, 2022). He would appear in six matches for the first team, earning three starts by the end of the season.

University of Maryland (2020-21): Russell-Rowe played one season with the Maryland Terrapins, appearing in 26 matches and scoring four goals. He scored in his NCAA debut to record the first goal of his college career. He would go on to be named to the 2020/21 Big Ten All-Freshman Team.
